Funding for Research on Infant Prematurity and Preterm Labor

Advances in technology have made it possible for premature infants to live at younger gestational ages than ever before. But the work isn’t done yet! Through your generous support, the Remember JEA Foundation will donate to hospitals, centers, and institutions that are actively pursuing research on women’s preterm labor and infant prematurity.

Advanced Training and Tools for Medical Professionals

Doctors and nurses are on the front lines during a woman’s preterm labor. They are the first to see, touch, and hold the infant(s), and often times, the infant must be taken away from the parents for immediate life-saving care. These medical professionals are trained in the most current techniques and on the most advanced equipment that save lives and provide comfort to the infant in the event that the life cannot be saved. The Remember JEA Foundation will donate to hospitals and medical facilities that have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) so those facilities can purchase life-saving and training equipment, and provide continuing education to doctors and nurses.

Support Families Dealing with Infant Loss

We know that infant loss is something that a family never plans for. However, there are unexpected costs that arise with the loss of an infant such as funeral arrangements, burial plots, and grave markers. It is an important part of the recognition and celebration of a life gone too soon. The Remember JEA Foundation helps families to defray some of the costs after infant loss.
